Sana Mahmud

Sana Mahmud is former Captain of the Pakistan National Women's Football (2010-12) and Basketball teams (2016-19), and currently works as a Project Manager at Right To Play International in Pakistan, where she manages sport-based girls' empowerment programs. She is also engaged voluntarily as a youth coach with the Federal Basketball Association. She continues to be an advocate for women and girls' rights and also serves as UNICEF's Menstrual Health Management Champion, creating awareness on important issues around women's health. Sana is a Fulbright alumna, having completed her Masters in International Development with a certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies and a specialization in Sport, Gender and Development, from Ohio University, U.S.A in 2015.
